Location
Venue: The View, Áras na Mac Léinn, National University of Ireland, Galway
Parking
If you are driving to the event, we recommend using the University’s Park & Ride service. Please note you must display a permit to park in the Park & Ride, to get a permit please click the link below. Park & Ride: Follow the N59 Moycullen Road for a short distance and turn right into the Corrib Village Student Accommodation complex (If you reach the Westwood hotel, you’ve gone too far, drive back towards the Quincentenary Bridge and look immediately for the Corrib Village sign, now on your left).
Keep left on the road to bring you to the Park & Ride area, which is serviced by a bus to the main campus every 15 minutes.
Alternatively, there are a small number of “Pay and Display” spaces dotted around the campus. There is also “Pay & Display” Council parking available behind the Cathedral (which is a very short walk to the Symposium location on campus) and in the University Hospital. All other spaces on campus are designated for staff/student use and require an appropriate permit, with active clamping in operation. As such, we would urge you to park in any of the areas mentioned above only.
If you are taking the train/bus, it is approximately a 15 minute walk, or a short taxi fare, to the University campus.
Galway city traffic tends to be quite heavy between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. in the mornings, so please allow additional time for getting through the city.
